How it works
The Banks's brewery in Wolverhampton, about 150 years old (Banks's Mild is dated to 1874 or 1875); Banks's Mild was Britain's biggest-selling mild. It belonged to Wolverhampton & Dudley, renamed Marston's in January 2007, and became part of Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company in 2020. CMBC proposed the closure in October 2024 after Mahou San Miguel did not renew its licence, and the last brew was at the end of August 2025; the site is for sale. Brands: Banks's Bitter, Banks's Mild. unverified info
