How it works
The brothers Bruce and Scott Williams began with Fraoch heather ale, which Bruce Williams developed from a Gaelic recipe of 1988 and first sold in 1992, brewed at Taynuilt, Argyll. Their Heather Ale Ltd took over the plant of the Forth Brewery at Kelliebank, Alloa, which Duncan Kellock had set up after Maclay's closed its brewing there in 1999, in 2003-2004 and became Williams Bros. Brewing Co. In 2014 it opened the Drygate brewery with C&C Group in Glasgow. Brands: Fraoch, Joker IPA, Caesar Augustus. unverified info
