Anadolu Efes Biracılık ve Malt Sanayii A.Ş., the brewing company of the Anadolu Group (the Özilhan and Yazıcı families), was founded in 1966 and began brewing Efes Pilsen in 1969 at two plants, in Istanbul and İzmir. It took over the assets and the Marmara brand of Toros Biracılık in 1998 and brews Efes, Bomonti (from 2010) and Marmara beers and several licensed brands. Lüleburgaz stopped brewing in 2014 and the Istanbul Merter plant on 22 May 2017; the breweries now are at Adana, Ankara and İzmir, with malt plants at Afyon and Konya. Its Türkiye beer volume was 6.2 million hl in 2025. unverified info
