Founded on 20 October 1879 by Johann Eduard Bliebernicht on the bank of the Pärnu river; by 1927 the only brewery in Pärnu. Nationalised under Soviet rule, one of the three largest breweries in Estonia. AS Pärnu Õlu from 1991, privatised in 1995. Renamed Puls Brewery in 2006.
