How it works
The Thai brewery of San Miguel Corporation of the Philippines. The Excise Department licensed it on 1 June 2004, and in June 2004 it bought the brewery assets of the Thai Amarit Brewery for 3.9 billion baht: a plant on a 21.75-hectare site at Pathum Thani, about 30 km north of Bangkok, with a capacity of about 1 million hectolitres a year, and a 2.4-hectare port site at Bang Po. Red Horse and Blue Ice were launched in autumn 2004; Phuket Lager (2002) is brewed here too, under the Tropical Beverage Corporation. unverified info
