Singapore The Archipelago Brewery Company, formed in Batavia in 1931 by the Wehry firm with Beck's of Bremen; its Singapore brewery on Alexandra Road opened on 4 November 1933 with Anchor Beer and ABC Stout. Taken by the British as German property in 1939 and bought by Malayan Breweries in 1941; brewing at Alexandra Road ended when it moved to Tuas in 1990. The name came back on 24 July 2006 for the craft brewery of Asia Pacific Breweries at Tuas, closed on 30 June 2024. unverified info
