How it works
Founded in 1988 as the Greek subsidiary of a German brewing group (Löwenbräu, by English sources), which bought the brewery at Atalanti in 1989. First Greek brand Pils Hellas in 1996. In 1998 the Syrianos family bought out the German shareholder, and the company was wholly Greek-owned from 2003. The fund Diorama came in in 2019. The largest independent Greek brewer (EZA, Blue Island, Odyssey, Berlin); talks on its sale were under way in 2025, and in 2025 it brought back the Piraiki beer (2387). unverified info
