## About

In 1920 three Roubaix breweries (l'Union, l'Alliance tourquennoise and Jean Ghislain) merged as the cooperative (SCOP) Grande Brasserie Moderne. It took the name of its main beer, Terken, in 1989; then the largest independent brewery of France, it also brewed store brands. Taken over in 2002, it was liquidated on 27 February 2004. Kipsta has its seat on the site since 2015.
